ABOUT CORRECTIVE LASER TREATMENT
Corrective Laser Treatment is a non-invasive procedure designed to improve skin discoloration and vascular concerns such as rosacea, sunspots (solar lentigines), broken capillaries, redness, and uneven skin tone.
This treatment uses targeted laser or light-based energy to selectively treat excess pigment or visible blood vessels while preserving surrounding healthy tissue. Over time, the body naturally clears treated pigment and vessels, resulting in a clearer, more even complexion.
Corrective laser therapy improves redness, discoloration, and skin clarity with minimal downtime. Proper preparation and post-treatment care are essential for optimal results and skin safety.

POST-TREATMENT CARE
Corrective laser treatment initiates controlled healing to clear pigment and reduce vascular lesions. Proper aftercare minimizes irritation and enhances results.
Immediately After Treatment
- Redness, warmth, and mild swelling are common and usually resolve within hours to a few days.
- Treated pigment may appear darker initially and treated vessels may appear more visible — this is expected.
- Cold compresses may be applied intermittently (10 minutes on, 10 minutes off).
- Avoid touching, rubbing, or scratching the treated area.
- Use only products recommended or provided by your provider.
First 24–72 Hours
- Cleanse gently with a mild, fragrance-free cleanser and lukewarm water.
- Pat dry — do not rub.
- Apply a gentle moisturizer or barrier repair cream as directed.
- Avoid:
- Sun exposure
- Hot showers, saunas, and hot tubs
- Intense exercise or sweating
- Sun exposure
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 24–48 hours.
- Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be taken for discomfort. Avoid NSAIDs unless prescribed.
Days 3–7: Healing Phase
- Sunspots may form microcrusting or flaking and naturally shed within 5–7 days.
- Redness from rosacea treatment will gradually fade.
- Do not pick, scrub, or exfoliate.
- Continue gentle cleansing and moisturizing twice daily.
- Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen daily (SPF 50+ preferred) and reapply every 2 hours when outdoors.
After 1 Week
- Resume active skincare products only once skin has fully healed and sensitivity has resolved.
- Avoid chemical peels, exfoliants, or additional laser treatments for at least 2 weeks.
- Continue diligent sun protection to prevent recurrence of pigmentation.
RESULTS AND TREATMENT PLAN
- Pigmented lesions darken and flake off within 7–10 days.
- Redness and vascular improvement continues over several weeks.
- A series of 2–4 treatments, spaced 4–6 weeks apart, may be recommended.
- Maintenance treatments and sun protection are essential for long-term results.
