ABOUT ALMA BEAUTIFILL™
Alma BeautiFill™ is an advanced laser-assisted liposuction and fat transfer system that safely and efficiently removes unwanted fat while preserving the quality of live fat cells for reinjection and natural enhancement.
Using precision-controlled laser energy, BeautiFill™:
- Gently liquefies and extracts fat with minimal trauma
- Stimulates collagen and skin tightening in treated areas
- Allows purified fat reinjection to add volume to the face, breasts, hands, or buttocks
Results are long-lasting, natural-looking, and achieved with minimal downtime and scarring compared to traditional liposuction.
PRE-TREATMENT CARE
2–3 Weeks Before Procedure
- Complete your preoperative evaluation and discuss:
- Medical history, allergies, and all current medications or supplements.
- Any prior liposuction, cosmetic procedures, or surgeries.
- Discontinue blood-thinning medications and supplements (with physician approval):
- Aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, fish oil, Vitamin E, ginkgo biloba, garlic, or flaxseed oil.
- Stop smoking, vaping, or nicotine use at least 2 weeks before and after — nicotine restricts blood flow and delays healing.
- Avoid alcohol for at least 5 days prior to procedure.
- Maintain good hydration and a balanced diet rich in protein to optimize recovery.
- If you are planning a fat transfer, maintaining stable body weight before and after treatment is essential for long-term fat viability.
1–2 Days Before Procedure
- Arrange transportation: You will not be able to drive home if sedation or oral medication is used.
- Fill prescribed medications (antibiotics, pain relievers, etc.) in advance.
- Prepare compression garments as instructed by your provider — proper fit is crucial for recovery.
- Shower with antibacterial soap (Hibiclens or similar) the evening before and morning of procedure.
- Avoid lotions, oils, or creams on treatment areas.
Day of Procedure
- Eat a light meal at least 2–3 hours before your appointment unless otherwise directed.
- Wear loose, dark-colored clothing to allow easy access to treatment areas and manage potential fluid leakage.
- Arrive well-hydrated and without jewelry or makeup.
- Bring your compression garments with you.
- Your provider will mark treatment zones and discuss anesthesia options (local tumescent anesthesia, mild sedation, or oral anxiolytics).
POST-TREATMENT CARE
Immediately After Procedure
- Mild swelling, bruising, and drainage from incision sites is normal and may last several days.
- You may experience tenderness or tightness in treated areas — this typically improves in 3–7 days.
- Wear compression garments continuously for 2–4 weeks (as instructed) to minimize swelling and help skin retraction.
- Do not remove compression garments for at least 24 hours unless otherwise directed.
- Ambulate lightly (walk) the same day to promote circulation and reduce risk of clots.
- Avoid hot showers or baths for 48 hours; use lukewarm water when permitted.
- Sleep on your back or in a position that avoids pressure on the treated and/or grafted areas.
For FAT TRANSFER RECIPIENT AREAS (Face, Breast, or Buttocks)
- Avoid direct pressure or compression on the transfer area for at least 2 weeks to protect grafted fat cells.
- For buttocks: Use a special BBL pillow when sitting or avoid prolonged sitting.
- For face or breast: Sleep on your back with head elevated.
- Do not massage, press, or ice the transfer area unless instructed.
- Mild unevenness or firmness is normal for 2–3 weeks as the fat stabilizes.
- Expect 30–40% of transferred fat to reabsorb naturally; the remainder will establish permanent volume over 2–3 months.
First 3–7 Days
- Take all prescribed medications (antibiotics, pain meds) as directed.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, bending, or lifting heavy objects.
- Continue wearing compression garments except when showering.
- Hydrate well — aim for 8–10 glasses of water per day.
- Eat high-protein meals to aid healing.
- If drainage pads are used, replace them as needed to keep the area clean and dry.
- Avoid alcohol and nicotine.
After 1–2 Weeks
- Bruising and swelling will start to subside.
- You may return to light exercise (walking, stretching) if cleared by your provider.
- Continue wearing compression garments as advised.
- Avoid exposure to heat (saunas, steam, hot tubs) for at least 3 weeks.
- Grafted fat cells begin to integrate — continue avoiding pressure or trauma to those areas.
After 4–6 Weeks
- Most swelling resolves, and initial results become visible.
- Resume normal physical activity unless otherwise instructed.
- Skin will continue to tighten and smooth over the next several months.
- For optimal body contouring, maintain a stable weight and healthy lifestyle — significant weight loss may reduce results.
RESULTS & FOLLOW-UP
- Early improvement is noticeable within 1–2 weeks; final results appear over 3–6 months as tissues fully heal and fat grafts stabilize.
- Fat transfer results are long-lasting with healthy lifestyle habits and stable weight.
- Your provider may schedule a follow-up visit at 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months to monitor progress.
- Additional sessions may be considered for contour refinement if desired.
