During the procedure, patients will wear protective eyewear. The treatment typically lasts between 10 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas being treated.
The Clarity II is a laser hair removal system that uses two wavelengths of light to effectively target and destroy hair follicles. The settings are adjusted based on the color and thickness of the hair, as well as your skin type. During the procedure, a handheld device emits precise laser pulses across the treatment area, focusing on individual hair follicles. The pigment in the follicles absorbs the laser energy, which inhibits hair growth while leaving the surrounding skin unharmed.
Most patients begin to see results within two to three weeks after their first treatment. Since lasers only target hair follicles in the active growth phase, multiple sessions are necessary for optimal results. At any given time, approximately 30 percent of hair follicles are in the resting phase and are not affected by the laser.
There is no downtime after laser hair removal, and most patients can resume their normal activities right away, with just a few exceptions.
The number of treatments needed depends on the area being treated, but most patients see a significant reduction in unwanted hair after 3 to 8 sessions. To achieve optimal results, our professional team will schedule your treatments according to your hair growth cycles, typically with 4–6-week intervals between each session.
Pre-Care Instructions for Laser Hair Reduction (Clarity 2)
Avoid Sun Exposure: Please avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks prior to your treatment. If you must be outdoors, use a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) to protect the treatment area.
Shave the Treatment Area: Shave the area to be treated 24–48 hours before your appointment. Do not wax, pluck, or bleach the hair, as these can affect the effectiveness of the treatment.
No Tanning Products: Refrain from using tanning lotions, self-tanners, or other products that darken the skin in the 2 weeks before treatment.
Avoid Certain Medications: If you are on any medication that increases sensitivity to light (e.g., antibiotics, retinoids, or Accutane), please inform us ahead of time. You may be asked to discontinue certain medications before your appointment.
Clean, Dry Skin: On the day of your treatment, make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from any lotions, creams, deodorants, or makeup on the treatment area.
Avoid Electrolysis or Waxing: Please avoid electrolysis, waxing, or plucking the area for at least 4 weeks prior to treatment, as these can interfere with the effectiveness of the laser treatment.
